Server room Koninklijke Drukkerij EM. de Jong delivered.
At the end of 2018, Koninklijke Drukkerij Em. de Jong granted All-Rack B.V. the contract for building a second (redundant) server room.
Koninklijke Drukkerij Em. de Jong is a family business, founded in 1906. The company is under the inspiring leadership of the fourth generation. Together with her four subsidiary companies, Koninklijke Drukkerij Em. de Jong is one of the largest players on the European market for retail printing. There are branches in different European countries, which, together with the mentality of a family business, makes it unique. Koninklijke Drukkerij Em. de Jong ensures a full range of layout, printing and logistics. CO2 neutral, as integral part of its corporate social responsibility.
IT is a crucial part in the lay out, production and distribution of printing. To prevent disruptions in its processes, the company decided to purchase the necessary hardware redundantly. It is installed in a second server room on the other side of the premisses. It enables the company to offer a higher level of service to its clients when it comes to delivering high quality printing on time.
After a careful selection process, Koninklijke Drukkerij Em. de Jong has chosen All-Rack to install the second server room, thanks to its high level of knowledge and experience in this industry. All-Rack carried out a thorough inventory, and decided to offer Koninklijke Drukkerij Em. de Jong the most suitable and efficient solution currently available: Inverter In-Row air conditioning configuration, whereby the cooling unit is located between the racks and the warm and cold sides are physically separated. As a result, the cooling installation works energy efficient, which corresponds with the sustainability vision of the family business in Brabant. Obviously, a UPS is part of the configuration to intercept power outage, after which the generator will take over the power supply. The server room also has an aspirant fire detection system and a gas extinguisher installation based on an Inert gas. All-Rack also carried out the fibre-optic connection between the first and the second server room. It was a very smooth process and completed within the set period, thanks to the input and cooperation from the project leaders from Koninklijke Drukkerij Em. de Jong and All-Rack. The server room is already in use.
